How can viarentals help you?

A

If you are the owner or manager of a property (or several) and want to rent it for the short (from one night) or longer (several months) term, viarentals can help you.

Listing your property on viarentals is fast, easy and Free.

Is it free to get my property listed? Will I have to pay something and when?

A

Getting listed is free. You won't have to pay anything until you actually get rental enquiries.

When you start receiving rental enquiries, you will be prompted to subscribe (99€ per year) in order to access them and start booking.

What this really means is that you won't have to pay anything until viarentals actually brings you customers and revenue. And even then, we only charge a small, one-time flat fee for your chosen subscription. No hidden costs, no commission.

How can I rent out my property through viarentals?

A

1. Register your property through our free one-step publication form

2. Access your property management interface where you can fill out additional details about your property, manage your availability calendar and record reservations. Your ad page is online.

3. Potential renters find your property through our search engine. If they are interested, they'll use the contact form to send you a booking enquiry.

4. The first time you decide to follow up with a booking enquiry, you will be offered to purchase a subscription (99€) in order to get a full access to all your enquiries for one year.

5. Choose your renters, arrange payment, contract and other details with them by email or phone and record your reservations in your Viarentals calendar.

6. Ask happy renters for reviews that will be displayed on your ad page and increase your popularity!

Why should I advertise on viarentals instead of a real estate agency?

A

Real estate agencies take commissions and will almost certainly cost you more.

Viarentals can give your property a worldwide exposure, attracting foreign renters while real estate agencies tend to have a very local audience.

Listing on viarentals can be done at any time from home, in a few minutes, for free.

Why advertise my property on viarentals instead of another website?

A

The first reason would be that listing your property on viarentals won't cost you anything until you actually start receiving booking enquiries.

We offer competitive pricing on the subscriptions.

We do not take commissions or apply any hidden fees contrary to many of our competitors.

Finally, unless your property already has a 95% booking rate, you should probably try to list it on several websites in order to attract more renters.

Can I choose my renters?

A

Yes, you can. You will receive booking enquiries through viarentals but you are completely free to choose whether or not you want to accept them.

The important decisions are still yours. We're just here to help.

Using Viarentals

I'm not receiving any emails from Viarentals, what is the problem?

A

Our emails might have landed in the "Spam" folder of your mailbox by error.

You should check your Spam folder and make sure you mark our emails as "Not Spam" or "Valid".
Adding moc.slatneraiv@ylper-on to your Address book might also help ensure that future emails don't get missclassified.

Does viarentals prevent spammers from contacting me?

A

Yes, we do. Your email will never be disclosed to anyone until you choose to reply to their enquiries and our contact forms are protected by automated security measures to prevent spam from ever reaching your mailbox.

Do I have to translate my property into other languages?

A

No, it isn't mandatory. Viarentals gives you the opportunity to get listed in several languages to broaden your audience, but you don't have to. It is however free to add a new language, auto-translated though.

How long will I have to wait before my ad page is online?

A

Your ad page will be published immediatly after your registration.

Can I stipulate the minimum stay length that I am willing to accept?

A

Yes. In the Main Description of your Property, you may specify the kind of rental periods you're interested in: short term (less than a month), or long term (more than a month) and the minimum stay for each one, in days and months, respectively.

I own several properties at the same address, do I need to take a subscription for each one of them?

A

Yes, you do. They are separate properties, with different calendars, enquiries and descriptions.

Renting your property

Recommended Rental Procedure, step by step

A

1. Traveler finds your property on Viarentals.

2. Traveler sends you a booking enquiry with requested dates.

3. You respond promptly to the inquiry by phone or email, answering potential questions and confirming rates and availability.

4. Traveler decides to book your property.

5. You send him a Rental Agreement and payment schedule. Also ask your future guest to pay a reservation deposit via credit card or check via mail (within 5 days of the booking date)

7. Guest signs and faxes (or mails back) the Rental Agreement with deposit payment.

8. You email your guest a confirmation that you have received the fax or mail and payment.

9. Update your viarentals calendar with your new booking.

10. You request the balance due and email a confirmation to your guest upon reception of the payment. You may also ask him for a security deposit that will be refunded upon departure.

12. Send your guest directions and key pickup instructions.

13. Guest enjoys his stay.

14. Guest departs. You instruct your housekeeper to clean and check your property.

15. You return your guest's security deposit and ask him to leave a review on viarentals.
